Pea soup with rutabaga
Pea soup with rutabaga, a vegetable once highly popular but now used in Poland practically only in the regional cuisines of Kaszuby and Podhale. The substantial taste of rutabaga falls somewhere between turnip, radish, and potatoes and makes a phenomenal addition to traditional pea soup. Serve warm with bread or your favorite accompaniment.
